Vegas is pretty much the same any time of year, but up against the winter weather where you live, the desert offers a milder escape and waaaaay more excitement than you can shake a stick at! So throw some dice at it instead!

Let's start this list with a bang. An undesputed place and time.
The magic of New York City is as strong as pure electricity in autumn. Crisp air, turning leaves of Central Park, hot beverages...
Mix some classic Stevie Wonder in your iPod, bundle up just a little, and start walking. Visit museums. Cozy up in corner booths with your pals in hideaway pool halls. Eat at amazing and not necessarily expensive restaurants.

We all felt the same twinge of excitement when we heard our first Pearl Jam/Stone Temple Pilots/Nirvana song. Seattle and it's equally hip little sister Portland had our eyes and ears transfixed. They are cities filled with culture, natural beauty and great shopping. Oh, but the rain... the RAIN!!!

SURPRISE! No, I'm really not kidding here. Omaha is an amazing undiscovered city. It has no pretense and plenty of reason. "Bored" midwesterners really know how to party.
