The Year 2000 problem (also known as the Y2K problem, the millennium bug, and the Y2K Bug) was the result of a practice in early computer program design that caused some date-related processing to operate incorrectly for dates and times on and after January 1, 2000.
Predications came out for the end of the world. People organized in groups and held meetings after church service about how to prepare for the Y2K crisis. A typical scenario Y2K: all computers would crash causing a collapse in the world economy. There would be an energy crisis, food and water would not be available. People would starve and die of disease. Signaling the end of the world.

AMONG THE QURANIC PROPHECIES relating to events and inventions of our age, there are some which are of outstanding importance and great global significance. One such prophecy relates to the impending danger of a nuclear holocaust.
This prophecy was made at a time when man could not entertain the idea of an atomic explosion by any stretch of his imagination.

There are some prophecies regarding the Messiah that Jesus has not, as of yet, fulfilled. The Second Coming of Christ will be the return of Christ to fulfill these remaining prophecies.

Adding numbers and dates to formulate an end of the world predication has been common. Here is a scientific calculation:
End of world; Implied in Hal Lindsay's revision. 1st said 1948+40=1988; Later Israel did not have land until 1967 War; 1967+40=2007; Rapture seven years earlier. Also now says generation from 60-80 yrs. Puts it also at 2040, 2047
